Fernwood Cove – 7/14Posted by on July 15, 2016

Thursday’s Blog was written by 7th Grade Bunk Mom and Creative Arts Counselor, Deter.

Today was officially the best day of activities! As the session comes to a close, it was an exciting yet very busy day.

In the arts department, we were finishing projects in focuses and pushing the girls to step out of their comfort zones; challenging them one last time to accomplish their goals. Being a floater this year for creative arts has given me the opportunity to see campers succeed and enjoy in various activities. Today in cooking, we baked a Fernwood Cove favorite, Nancy bars! In Fabric Arts the girls were completing their pajama shorts and sock stuffed animals. Although it was a hot day, fun run with Jim went great, pushing the girls to complete their best run yet.

Thursday night means…Pizza!! Chef pulled out all the stops yet again with BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, Veggie Lovers, Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza.

Tonight’s evening program is the highlight of my week, performance night! Girls who participate in Vocal Theater, Theater, Dance, Guitar, Percussion or Gymnastics perform on stage to show all of their friends what they have been working on that week. All the girls that have worked so hard in their focuses and were truly extraordinary. To close off the night we experienced one of our biggest wanger bangers of the summer which was pretty incredible to watch.
