Fernwood Cove – 7/25Posted by on July 26, 2016

Monday’s Blog was written by 3rd Grade Buncle and Landsports Counselor, Sam.

Another beautiful day here at Fernwood Cove. The sun was shining as the girls made their way from the bunks to Flag raising. Flag raising ran as usual with Jim reminding us all to use hand sanitizer and plenty of sunscreen, as well as sharing the Useless Knowledge of the day (the UK of the day). Counselor announcements were made to make sure the girls were all informed about the day’s activities.

Mexican Monday started with a twist as Chef Keith put on French Toast for us all, and might I say, it was delicious! Everyone in the feeder quickly ate their meals and the campers went off to assembly as Monday is also mini-course Monday! All the counselors performed a quick 30 second skit to sell their mini-course to the girls. There were courses ranging from donkey grooming to lip sync battle to pretzel making.

Chef Keith finished off Mexican Monday in style with Quesadillas. Then it was off to mini courses. I was participating in Karate, which was great fun learning some of the basics of karate and even a move sequence.

We are already halfway through the first week of activities, which feels crazy as it seems like arrival day was only just yesterday. With everyone getting settled in to camp, the atmosphere of camp just keeps getting better and better!
