Fernwood Cove – 7/28Posted by on July 28, 2016

Thursday’s Blog was written by 8th Grade Bunk Mom and Waterfront Counselor, Ciara.

Today we were woken by reveille to the sun shining and excitement building for the final day of focus week one. Campers strove to achieve their weekly goals whilst others completed the final preparations for their performance ahead of tonight’s show.

At lunch we acknowledged and celebrated those campers and staff who have been at camp for 5 or 10 years. We had 29 campers receiving their 5 year pendants! It is always incredible to see these girls come back year after year.

After lunch, everyone enjoyed some chill out time during rest hour before we headed back to activities. Afternoon focus’s were interrupted by a thunder shower but this did not dampen anyone’s spirits.

Dinner was moved indoors because of the wet weather and pizza night was enjoyed by all.

Evening program was Performance Night where the girls showcased the skills that they have learned and developed throughout the week. These acts included guitar, dance, theater, Acapella and gymnastics with every performer being encouraged by the audience.

Another extraordinary day at the Cove!
