Fernwood Cove – 7/8Posted by on July 09, 2016

Sunday’s Blog was written by 7th Grade Bunk Mom and Water Ski/Wakeboard Counselor, Whitney.

We all woke up this morning feeling fresh and well rested thanks to lazy Friday! We put on our favorite onesies and headed up to a delicious breakfast buffet of all of our favorites- muffins, bagels, biscuits & gravy, etc.

After that we got dressed in our whites for 8th grade services! The penguins did fantastic on their speech about taking risks in life. It was very moving!

For lunch we had a fantastic meal of Pork roast, sweet potatoes, and corn. And for dessert cheese cake!

Today was definitely one of the best days of the session here at Fernwood Cove… CARNIVAL!!!!!! Planned by all of the seventh grade. This year’s theme was Peace, Love, and Fernwood Cove. Always a fun day- we had a slip n slide, face painting, blow up obstacle course, flower crown making, tie dye headbands, cookie decorating, and a popcorn machine!

Then we had our usual Friday favorite – burgers! So yummy.

Ep was also one of the greats- performance night! Saw lots of talent of all sorts, from hula hooping to singing and playing guitar. We ended the night with a dance party, visiting time from cove sisters, and a bunk circle. We are all so tired from such a fun and eventful day- I’m sure everyone will be going to bed early tonight and getting a good rest before another wonderful day here at the cove as well as the start of a new focus week.

Quick shout out to all those momma blog readers of FC- especially those of Sarina, Bayla, Lena, Olivia, Riya, Alexa, Joia, Izzy, Eve, Ines, Jessica, and Lucy (Sandpiper Bunk)! Love your kids so much!
