Fernwood Cove – 6/29Posted by on June 30, 2016

Hello Fernwood Cove Families!

Today started off as a great day on the waterfront. The sun was shining, the water was warm and the campers were excited for the day ahead. Before lunch, all focuses ran smoothly. The campers were excellent; they were focused for today’s stroke of butterfly and they swam it fantastically! The campers were treated with some fun time on the trampoline and slide which they loved! All was going well across all activities on the waterfront.

After lunch the focuses were interrupted as we experienced our first “Wanger Banger” (thunder storm) for the summer. As the kids were no longer allowed in the water, games were played away from the water and despite the weather you could still hear a lot of laughter throughout.

The Wanger Banger cleared up just in time for WING WEDNESDAY on the grass and also for tonight’s Evening Program: Counselor Hunt. Counselor Hunt is an Evening Program the campers are eager for every year. Counselors dress up in crazy costumes and hid around camp. The campers are released to track down the “trespassers” and then the counselors are put on the stand to determine whether they are guilty or innocent for being on Fernwood Cove property. The guilty counselors’ “punishment” is to jump in the lake. As liquid sunshine (rain) began to fall again, the guilty counselors are free until the morning.

Despite today’s weather, a LOT of fun was had at Fernwood Cove!
