Fernwood Cove – 7/9Posted by Beigette Gill on July 10, 2016
Saturday’s Blog was written by 9th Grade Bunk Mom and Waterfront Counselor, Rosie.
What a spectacular day here at the cove! One of our first and much needed ‘liquid sunshine’ touched days of the summer! The trees are already looking greener and the lake topped up! And who doesn’t love to sing and dance in the rain every now and then?!
But my oh my, how did we get around to the first day of the THIRD focus week, already?! That has rolled around SO fast, it feels like the girls arrived just yesterday! But in true Fernwood Cove fashion, ‘a day is a week, a week is a month, and a month is a year’ so it also feels like we have all been here together as a big beautiful family for so long! Either way, I am loving every moment and taking full advantage of each day with these wonderful ladies. I know they sure are too, that can be seen by their contagious smiles and happy skips as they cross from activity to activity!
Just as always, today we feasted like kings! I wont even begin to describe the meals we so willingly engulfed today, because I wouldn’t want to entice any parents to turn up early! Instead i’ll just give you some key words!

OH AND E.P YOU ASK?! Well let me just say, It’s always SO wonderful to see people pull together and get close in friendly cuddles and loving (cove)sisterly embraces while they warm by the fire as we come together to sing songs, hear stories and get our boogie on at our first indoor campfire of the summer! The chick is such a breathtaking, warm and welcoming building and taps is always such a beautiful moment, but the beauty sure is amplified when we all join together in this wonderful home to sing it.
Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky. All is well, safely rest, Fernwood Cove.
