Activities at Summer CampPosted by Alicia DeHart on July 20, 2019
It’s the first week of activities at summer camp. Last night was the start to our OD (on duty) rotation, so the blogs can begin! Yesterday, we officially launched our first week of activities at summer camp; yeehaw! The morning couldn’t have had a better start to the day.
For breakfast, we had a nourishing mix of;
- scrambled eggs
- sausage patties
- potato hash
Of course, if this doesn’t quite satisfy the girl’s appetite, they have the alternate choices of multiple kinds of cereal, They can also walk through the parfait buffet! After breakfast was the big reveal: the girls ran down to take note of which activities they were participating in.
Activities at Summer Camp
All morning the sun has been out and keeping us on top of lathering up with sunscreen and water bottles full! Looking out at the waterfront, all everyone wanted to do was run and jump in! I think it’s safe to say everyone has at least one or two water activities on their schedule.
Once activities concluded, we washed off our sweat from the day and enjoyed some chilli hot dogs and an array of salads followed by dessert, which is of course always fruit! After dinner, we had a great evening program filled with different age group activities that really encourage the girls to get to know each other, and who knows, maybe even make a life long friend!
These next couple of days will all be activity days, so this is the perfect time for the girls to get routined into their regular daily schedule. However, each day at the Fernwood Cove is unique and extraordinary, so stay tuned for the general updates we’ll be sharing throughout each week!
