Fernwood Cove – 7/13Posted by on July 14, 2016

Wednesday’s Blog was written by 5th Grade Bunk Mom, and Theater Counselor, Ally.

Today was another wonderful day here at the Cove! We were light in numbers this morning as half of camp was out on overnights. As girls began to roll in, camp began to grow and lift in both numbers and energy. It was great to have everyone back at camp, where we belong together!

By nightfall, all had returned smelling of campfire with smiles on their faces! It was definitely a scorcher today, reaching a high of somewhere in the low 90’s. But, we drank 3 glasses of water with every meal and lathered on the sunscreen, and powered through the day!

It is so hard to believe that today is our second to last day of focuses and that tomorrow is our final performance night. I definitely think that the girls are ready to perform! The girls in my Mulan focus are a bit nervous, but definitely ready to take the stage on Saturday and Sunday. They are so excited to show everyone what they have been working on for the last 3 weeks!

As today came to a close, we had one of our final campfires and sang at the top of our lungs! We were all happy to see the sun set so it could finally cool down and we could sleep well tonight.

Tomorrow is brand new day at the Cove (our best day of focuses), and we cannot wait to see what it brings!!
