Tuesday trip day!

The sun was out in full force as we all left for some nature appreciation in Maine and New Hampshire. Many amazing excursions took place including hiking in locations like Range Pond State Park and White Lakes. Other activities included canoeing, disc golf and also cliff jumping at the two beauty spots Coos canyon and Frenchman’s hole.

Five fifth grade girls, Jaymie and myself all traveled to Rattle Snake Pool. This outdoor paradise is tucked away in the Blueberry Mountain of White Mountain National Forest in Stoneham. We jumped into the 10 ft deep, icy cold, radient teal waters – it was truly beautiful! We spent a few hours here eating our packed lunches, swimming and relaxing. On our way back to camp we stopped off in Harrison and devoured some ice cream – ‘cookies and cream’ & ‘birthday cake’ being the most favoured flavours of the afternoon!!

The sun was still shining as the day trippers began to arrive back at Fernwood Cove just in time for shower dip and then dinner! Tonight’s EP was a particular favourite of mine – age group activities – where the 6th grade girls in camp enjoyed a pamper and relaxation evening!
